The software Quality Assurance Engineer supports an agile team in analyzing, designing, building and testing high quality IntroCept Product Suite that meets and exceeds our customer expectations. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and run both manual and automated test cases
- Perform end to end QA process every release cycle, including the high level vision for a continually improving QA framework.
- Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and create a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement
- Test coverage improvement: Ability to develop new regression plans, test using existing regression plan and enrich test plan as the application evolves.
- Effective communication of issues to engineers to ensure resolution.
- Other functions as related to quality assurance department responsibilities
- Formulating test plans
- Designing, building and automating QA test scripts for regression, stress and performance test suites.
- Performing manual testing and track issues
- Communicating effectively with development team and management
- Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and create a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement
- Establish a consistent release management framework and deliver high quality software, in rapid iterations, across our multiple product teams
- Communicate proactively and preemptively with your key stakeholders, from senior management to the software engineers adopting your QA practices
- Be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers
- Having an experience in automated testing and implementing will be a plus point.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fiel
- Should have at least 1 year of working experience in software testing or equivalent work experience and technical training
- Should demonstrate an automation mind set. If you need to do the things more than 2 times manually, you need to think how it can be automated.
- Highly detail oriented with a passion for quality
- Strong understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with automated testing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of bug tracking application is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills is a plus
- Expected to have knowledge of Agile and working in a scrum environment.
