Position Title:  Assistant Nurse
Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Classification: General Service Staff, Grade G3
Type of Appointment: One Year Fixed Term with possibility of extension
Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible

Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. CONTEXT
Under the direct supervision Head Nurse, with the guidance from the Migration Health Physician for technical matters and the Chief of Mission, Nepal for administrative matters, the successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
CORE FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting Medical team for medical screening process as assigned by supervisor
  • Verifying ID and Registration of immigrants and refugees at reception
  • Assist in arranging the forms for mail out
  • Assisting the MHP when required.
  • Counting the vaccination documents after completing the work of the day.
  • Photo identification check including name, age and sex to prevent substitution during medical screening process
  • Assisting the senior nurses in collecting medical documents and filing system
  • Scan, Photocopy and file medical documents as required.
  • Performing such other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited academic institution with one year of  work experience in related field  or
  • Completed Certificate degree of Assistant Nurse/Midwife with three years of work experience in related field.
Experience 
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Two years of experience in clerical work.
  • Experience of customer care is advantage.
Languages
  • Fluency in English, Nepali is required.
