Position: Chief Technical Officer

This position requires international exposure in Technology with sufficient exposure in multinational Telecommunication sector.
Main responsibility areas:
  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Make annual operational plan, headcount plan, budget (as delegated) and KPIs. Support and identify the Department level strategy, vision, mission, targets and KPIs within the delegated frame.
  • Analyses and estimates performance effectiveness of employees. Organizes work on personnel evaluation and participates in development of measures based on personnel appraisal results, training & development plans. Participates in the interview for recruiting employees of Technology department.
  • Builds and maintains high performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching the employee. Ensure a fair and motivating compensation structure by proposing salary increments according to the annual instructions.
  • Developing a new network 2020 architecture/roadmap that encompasses technology readiness for future, roadmap to 5G, network obsolesce and fixed mobile convergence.
  • Review yearly budgets and business plan of Ncell for network OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Support/Lead projects of OPEX optimizations, technical bidding and network planning.
  • Review of latest technological evolutions focused around network OPEX efficiency.
  • Synergize best practices and ensure implementation of uniform network SOPs in Ncell.
  • Responsible in tackling with network performance issues and KPIs.
  • Review of latest technological evolutions focused around network OPEX efficiency and implement appropriate processes/procedures.
  • Support/Lead, coordinate and support transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Identify areas of improvements in group common technical product management; product development forums.
  • Support both Commercial and Product Management in product lifecycle management and product evaluation and strategic product roadmaps from the technology perspective.
  • Organizes work on Code of Ethics and Conduct continuous communication to all employees of Technology department.
  • Demonstrates an intellectual and professional leadership style that supports attainment of respect and creditability by others.
  • Coordinates work on task analysis & project management of the request coming from task owners (Commercial and other departments), demand management & technical analysis of all new product/ service/ campaign/ tariff, planning and keeping up to date SN architecture, management of the program aimed at change SN architecture and platforms.
  • Controls use of consultants and services provided by others, and at the same time as developing these skills in employees where possible.

Your qualification and experience:
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Electronics Engineering
  • At least 20 years of experience with 10 years of managerial role and proven track record in Technology function in Telecom Sector in multinational business environment.
