Job Description:

In Nepal and Bangladesh, we are involved in several thematic areas with our work focusing on resilient livelihood, active citizenship and migrants’ rights, among others. The DCA SARO invites applications from qualified and competent  candidates for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer  based in Kathmandu.

Key Responsibilities :
This position is required for DCA Earthquake Recovery Programme to be based in Kathmandu till May 2017 with possibility of extension. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will coordinate overall implementation of monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability process for the Recovery Programme that is implemented in Bhaktapur, Dhading, Gorkha and Lalitpur where the project follows a multisectoral approach.
The major responsibility of this position is to develop monitoring and evaluation strategy for the Recovery Program, play an integral part in the proposal development, maintain programme database, lead on recovery project reporting and learning products. The position will support to ensure programme quality and enhance accountability through development and rolling out of effective monitoring systems and tools and supports on capacity development of the implementing partners.

Required qualifications and competencies:
Relevant bachelor’s degree with five years experiences and or Master’s degree with three years’ experience in research, monitoring and evaluation preferably with INGOs.  Monitoring and evaluation skills with high level proficiency in professional writing and communication in English and Nepali, proficiency in quantitate and qualitative analysis and report writing and experience of operating M and E software with knowledge on project cycle management. Knowledge on RBA, CHS, Gender and Social Inclusion is highly desirable.
