Vacancy for Project co-ordinator at an NGO

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate and Support the implementation of Oxfam Program (Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL) WASH, PHP, PHE, Shelter and Cash for work) including long term rehabilitation activities, in working VDC of Nuwakot.
Post holder reports to:  Executive Director of the Organization / Oxfam office
Managing Staff: Program Officers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with Program Field Staff, the organization and donor (Oxfam)
  • Co-ordinate and implement the project activities and board decisions.
  • Responsible for the day to day running of office smoothly
  • Ensure financial management systems according to the policies, rules and regulations of organization and donor
  • Develop project activities, relationships and maintain correspondence with existing and potential donors.
  • Represent organization at external workshops, meetings and conferences.
  • Participating in communication with all the individuals, stakeholders, and agencies for the smooth running of the organization and project activities
  • Monitoring the daily work of Staff
  • Facilitate solution to any problem aroused during the daily functioning of the office
  • Performing any other task assigned by the Board / ED
  • Ensure the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities according to requirements of donors
  • Liaison between staff and board members to ensure good communication, accountability and transparency.
  • Authorize financial expenditure according to the rules and regulations of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Produce regular reports as required for board, donors and other stakeholders.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: 
Essential:
  • Master degree in Rural Development, agriculture, economics, political science or broadly relevant field.
  • Minimum five years in similar positions/experience (programme support, field-experience)
  • Good communication skills, ability to convey complex information in a straightforward, interesting way (strong English).
  • Attention to detail and critical analysis.
  • Experience in data entry and database management (Excel)
  • Experience conducting assessments and supporting analysis of results
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relations with multicultural and multi ethnic teams, including working with partner organisations
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Oral and written communication skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Experience and commitment to promote equity, gender and diversity
Desirable:
  • Previous working experience with non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in emergency and early recovery programmes.
  • Mature and professional attitude and approach.
