Job Description:
Room to Read (RtR) seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low income countries by focusing on Literacy and Gender Equality in Education.
Room to Read Nepal invites applications from Interested Nepali citizens for the following Kathmandu Base positions;
Manager, Accounting and Finance
S/he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of RtR's finances and accounting initiatives. S/he will closely work with the Country Director to create, implement and analyze financial budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with programmatic strategies. S/he will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining adequate in-country financial reporting in accordance with government regulations, managing RtR's legal compliance in Nepal, navigating procedures for expansion and complying with all governmental standards, requirements, and regulations.
The key selection criteria are:
- Master's degree in Business Administration/Management with specialization in Finance/Accounts
- Preference will be given to experienced Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA)/Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in management level (preferably in I/NGO sector) with successful track record of implementing wide range of responsibilities in a prior Accounting and Finance position
- Strong financial analytical, planning, supervisory, and management skills
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but be able to recognize and support the organization's preference and priorities
- Must be tactful, mature, and flexible with superior interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities
- Strong command over English language (verbal &written)
